Yes, check in at the 8th to make sure we secure HF in the WS again. I remember when the AL won last year, you posted woohoo we got home field in the Series. The Yankee fans laughed at you.
Who's laughing now?

Jerks. That was very hurtful.

The ASG has determined home field for the past 2 years. In neither one did it matter. The Fish humiliated the Yankees in 6, and the Sox beat the brains out of the Cardinals in 4 straight.
And, we can't forget the fact that the Sox humiliated the Yankees in game 7 of the ALCS even though the Yankees had home field advantage. If we go back to 2002, the Angels humiliated the Yankees, even though it was the Yankees who had home field advantage.
Yes, I do love writing about the Yankees being humiliated. It amuses me no end. :D

Thats not exactly accurate. about the fish humiliating the yankees, thats a bit of a stretch. losing in 6 games is not humiliating. especially against a hot team on an emotional high. still, you are right, that it turned out it didnt matter.
however, i do think it mattered with the sox beating the cards. Do you think the cards roll over if they are playing at home to start the series? I dont. While i do believe the sox win the series either way, it would have gone longer than 4 if the cards are at home. not that im complaining that the cards got swept. :D

LaRussa made a funny. He said HF does matter. He said, "If we had HF last year, we woulda lost in 5." :laff:
