Jerry Manuel said that Bob Howry has lost the job as setup man, and it is now Gary Glover's job. I don't know where Howry will pitch, but I think this is a good move. I have always liked Glover better in the 'pen than as a starter, and Howry wasnt as effective last season, as in 2000. This also takes away a candidate for the 3, 4, and 5 spots in the rotation. Candidates are now(if Parque isnt going to start) Rauch, Wright, Garland, and maybe Barcelo. am i missing anyone one? What do you think?

Glover shows more of an upside than Howry at this point. Even Howry has admitted it!
As for the starters...Phew, it's going to be ugly. With so many injuries not healing their starting staff is looking shaky at best. Buehrle is good but better at no2 or 3. Ritchie is ok also...but the rest..oof.
Early on I thought the White Sox were destined for a 1st place finish in the Central...Now I wonder if they'll win 85...Their bats look good though...

i think theyll slug their way into first. still, the only one i think will give them trouble is the twins.
