Im surprised that more people dont get hurt at baseball games from hit balls traveling at more that a hundred miles per hour.

Imagine dying for attending a game? People get hit by balls all the time, but I've never seen a serious injury yet. I remember a little girl got hit by a Rice foul ball back in 78. He rushed in the stands, and stayed with her till the ambulance came. She was hit on the head, but she ended up being okay.

Unfortunately I have witnessed severe injuries off a batted ball. Hell, I was two seats away from one last year. The worst part is, those two seats would have been occupied by someone else in my family, but luckily no one went that night besides my father and I. The ball hit off the seat and went back onto the field before you missed a beat. If that ball hit anyone, I have no doubts it would have very seriously injured someone.

No kidding. Think of all the little kids who are not paying attention to the game, and all of the parents that are distracted by trying to calm them down. It's a wonder that so few injuries actually occur.

There are signs up for a reason. I will be ROYALLY pissed off if the parents sue the NHL or any other hockey related group. It was a tragic accident, nothign more
