JOHNSON CITY — Koby Clemens’ first professional home run — a grand slam in the top of the first — staked Greeneville to a 12-5 victory over Johnson City on Monday night, officially making the resurgent Astros the hottest team in the Appalachian League.
The Astros still have some work to do to climb back out of the cellar, but have now won four on the trot. Monday night’s win was dominating. The Astros jumped to an 11-0 lead in the first three innings before Johnson City ever got on the board.
Eli Iorg also hit his first pro homer against the Cards with a solo shot in the eighth inning.
