This afternoon in Baltimore,White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle was ejected in the 6th inning for hitting BJ Surhoff. The ejection ended Buehrle's string of 49 consecutive starts in which he's pitched at least 6 innings. He was tossed by HP umpire Brian Gorman with 2 outs in the 6th and the White Sox clinging to a 2-1 lead.

The Sx eventually won the game 6-3.

This came after AJ Pierzynski was nailed just above the right elbow by O'a pitcher Daniel Cabrera in the top of the 6th.There we're no warinigs issued after Pierzynski got plunked.AJ would eventually homer in the 8th inning to give the Sox a 4-1 lead at that point.

It was also last night when Tadahito Iguchi was drilled right in the back by O's reliever Todd Williams.Ozzie Guillen had argued that Williams was intentionally thrwoing at Iguchi.
