My first reaction is why. Why is this guy back? We already have enough hit or misses batters as it is. What can he do to improve the offense? This guy infuriated me in his first stint where he would strike out way too much. This guy was the rally-killer out there. He has not done much with the Padres and the Devil Rays so I had no idea why the team decided to sign him. I don't get this one.
They could have brought Denny Hocking back instead. At least, he can hit at times and he can hustle.
