If the Twins want to prove to everyone that next year is going to be different, they can't afford to go with the same infield next season. We have to go with an new infield. The only guy who should stay is Justin Morneau and maybe Luis Rodriguez. Morneau should stay mainly because he can hit. There has to be wholesale changes right after that.

For one thing, enough is enough with Cuddyer. He has had too many opportunities to prove himself and it has not worked. Gardenhire and front office allegedly may have given up on him. SS? To me, Bartlett has to do well from now till the rest of the season. He has done okay, but you have to wonder if he is a solution. It's too bad Trevor Plouffe is not even close to being ready because I would love to see him be the starter next season. 2B? We better sign someone in the FA market or find someone in the stands because Punto and Rivas are not the answers. I think L-Rod can be one though if Gardenhire smart enough to realize that.

Those guys are just the tip of the iceberg. There has to be more changes in getting guys who can hit because there are some guys out there who would not make it any other team's roster.

Terry Ryan needs to find someone who can hit and play in the infield next year. It starts with the infield.
