8/15/05: Twins/Mighty Whities

Patrick Reusse loves to call the White Sox as Mighty Whities as part of a compliment so I will call them that. It's not a dregatory name.

Twins got nothing to play for this season. The least they can do is beat those guys and win the season series. I hope that's not that hard. I would feel real good that the Mighty Whities can't still beat us so I really hope the Twins can find a way to beat those guys.

I read some smart-aleck comments from those punks in the Sun-Times about how they don't treat the Twins as their rival or they put us in teh same category as the Royals. Then some people wonder why I hate the White Sox. Another thing. It seems Ozzie can't seem to let it go about Jamie Burke. He kept going on and on about the hit. Let it go. It's been a year. I am glad Torii made an impression.

Here's hoping the White Sox just come out and play baseball instead of talking trash or start up stuff because I know the Twins will play baseball.

BTW, it's good to get the FSN North feed instead of watching two children do a play-by-play game in the White Sox telecasts.

NOW THAT'S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

This was awesome. I haven't had a chance to be happy with this team all year. Tonight, this team made me smile big time. It was awesome seeing the Twins beat those guys tonight. I loved every minute of it. Beating the White Sox is always a great thing. Sure winning games from now on may not get people excited, but to beat those guys is always great. If the Twins lose the rest of the way, I just hope they beat those guys. I enjoyed it. I was so happy after the game. I haven't broke out a huge smile in quite some time, but tonight I was so proud of this team.

Kyle was sensational. What can you say? This guy was awesome. He threw strikes. Worked fast. He did not seemed fazed. He was just throwing. I really like that attitude he showed tonight. I just got a good feeling that he would do well tonight after the first two innings. I liked how he got out of that jam in the first inning. Had he given up the runs there, it was over. I am so proud of Kyle. He really has done a very good job lately.

It was good to see the Twins get the big hit finally against the Sox. Twins got couple of big base hits to drive in several runs in the fourth inning. That was the key right there. Nice to see Brent provide spark. How about Lew? Another great game. I am so glad he has turned it around. I hope he keeps it up.

I thought the Twins made a statement tonight and that was great to see. They showed me something tonight. They got the pitching and timely hitting. They played great defense. Shannon and Nick made some great catches. Twins deserved that win.

This felt so good! Twins are now 2-4 against the South Siders. Let's hope they can get the sweep and go .500. I hope they can pull this one out tommorow with Johan pitching Wednesday.
