8/16/05: Twins/Mighty Whities

Twins put out a great performance last night. They played all three phases of the game last night. They got great pitching, great clutch hitting, and great defense. As Shannon said, the Twins needed to play all three phases of the game to beat the current AL Central Division leaders They gotta do this tonight and tommorow to get that sweep or take the series.

Brad will be on the mound. He has been super like most of the starters this second half. Let's hope he pitches well and not give up many home runs.

Here's hoping the offense can build on that game tonight.

I got Hawk Harrelson tonight on MLB.TV. Let's hope for some dead air on the telecast because it would mean if his beloved White Sox are losing.

The Twins did it again! They beat the White Sox for the second straight night thanks to Shannon's big hit and the floodgates are opened. Man how sweet is that. Anytime the Twins beat the White Sox, it is a beautiful day. To tie the game in a dramatic fashion in the ninth by Michael Cuddyer and then win in the sixteenth is awesome. Great job by the guys.

Brad was solid out there. He did a good job.

How about the pen! They were fantastic AGAIN tonight. That was a yeoman work out there. It was good to see Jesse and J.C. get out of jams out there. It's been a rough year for J.C., but it was good to see him get that win out there and do a good job.

What a night for Joe Mauer. 3 hits tonight.

I don't know what was awesome. Hearing Twins fans ,who attended the game, at U.S. Cellular Field, chanting "LET'S GO TWINKIES" (I heard it loud and clear in the 16th) or hearing Hawk Harrelson say nothing in the 16th inning.

It's good to see that one AL Central team does not go pee on their pants against the Sux. It's too bad the Twins did not play those guys during the middle of the season because it would be so different standingwise and all.

Twins can beat those guys anytime and I am glad my faith was rewarded. Twins have proven that they don't have to stand backseat to the White Sox when they play the Sox. It showed these last two games. Let's go for the sweep tommorow with Cy-tana on the mound. Man I want this sweep in the worse way tommorow night. I want the White Sox to get theirs
