Cynthia, it's ragweed season!! :(
Thank goodness that mine haven't really kicked in much yet. Still on California time, I guess! But give me a week or so, and I'll probably surpass your misery.

I am getting my ass kicked right now. I am alleric to grasses and molds, so all the fresh cut grass kills me, and the mold on dying tree leaves kills me in the fall. Ugh.

Same here with the grass.Luckily,my yard isn't so big as it only takes me about 20 minutes to cut the grass.

Same thing with me. Amongst plenty of other environmental crap that sets me off.
I'm also very allergic to cats, which tends to trigger my asthma as well as my allergies. I was supposed to crash on a friend's couch in California, but 10 minutes in his house with his two cats and I knew there was no way I could make it through the night! :ugh:
When I was 12 I was told that I'd outgrow my allergies. I think they got much worse in my 30's. Thank god fro drugs!

I'm allergic to penicillin. When I was about 12 years old I had the flu and I had a bad reaction to the penicillin that the doctor gave me.

I'm allergic to christmas trees. well, the real ones. Especially the kind that grow around here. scent too strong and i start sniffling and all that crap.
also sensitive to flowers. i start sneezing if there are powerful flowers inside of a house. (easter lillies are the worst).
I'm allergic to most soaps, laundry detergents, face paints, all that fun stuff.

I never had allergies. I believe that lots of allergies come from this anti-bacterial generation. People have to be EXPOSED to germs to not be affected by them.
When I was a kid, we played in the streets and ate dirt, played in trash, etc....
We never got sick!
I cringe when I see people using anti-bacterial products. :ugh:

My dad uses that same argument! He used to swim in horribly gross waters when he was young, and he never gets sick...ever! Both my parents are very healthy, and I thank them for that, because I'm lucky enough to not have any allergies.

Your Dad is smart. I use to swim in gross waters too. We all did. I see so many small kids, sick all the time, their parents using all that anti-bacterial crap, I just don't get it.

what's worse is that because they are so sick they use anti-biotics all the time that they become immune to it...and then when they really need it, and not just for some stupid flu or something, it doesn't work anymore. It remains to be seen whether everything being serene and clean is really all that good for us on the whole...like you said, if we don't get exposed to these bacteria often, when we do we're liable to die from them...
