Well in Wyoming 200 miles is next to you..... :D
But ya it was around my neck of the woods. About 80 some miles north of me.
It was a little mining town mostly trailers in that town. Tornados are rare around me because I was told that they dont like to go up hills and with my town Casper in a bit of a vally and a little mountain range behind us we dont get any. But it has been a wild summer. Very chilly in fact for summer for us. We had about two weeks of 90+ which most of the time we have a month or so of it. Kind of nice in fact.
But the mines around the town stepped up big time and are doing a ton of things for there people there. And the whole state is helping. In fact sat there is a huge clean up day and they are already saying there is to many people there helping and they would just like money now...
One thing I love about Wyoming is that no matter where you are in the state we all have eachothers backs.

In a state that size, 80 miles is quite close. One little hiccup by Mother Nature and that 80 mile buffer could be virtually eliminated.

nah.. 80 miles is still 80 miles...;)
That is sort of like if you were in NYC thinking that a tornado in Stroudsburg, Pa was close...

Even though 80 miles is a bit away like Robin said in Wyoming that is right next door for us. Just used to things being spread out a bit.

oh i know. I am just saying that when it comes to a tornado, 80 miles is pretty far. They usually die after a short period of time. Have never known one to cover 80 miles... .

You are right Shawn and that is why really it is big news because tornado's hardly ever touch down in Wyoming and when they do it is a touch and go.
