Ditto! However, we won't stay long if the Sox game is not on somewhere.

HAPPY FRIDAY!
:jump:
Tomorrow I'm leaving at 6:00 AM, on my bike, for a 50-mile bike ride. My friends Kathy and Tom and I are riding up through Yonkers, then on the South County bike trail, which becomes the North County bike trail, and we're ending up in Mahopac, where we're visiting friends at their house on a lake, where we're relaxing and swimming and eating and drinking, then we're getting a ride back with friends, in their car, with our bikes on the bike rack on their car.
Then Sunday I'm recuperating. :D

Me? I am going to be sleeping a lot and go to my usual Staten Island ferry ride for the weekend.
I am so glad it's Friday. I worked all week this week. I am normally a part-timer at the FDU Weiner Library, but I have to report to the library to do a project with my co-worker these last three weeks. I hated getting up early and reporting to work early. I hated working five days too. I am glad I got two days off this week and then we start the fall semester Wednesday at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I will be sleeping a lot the next four days.
I am also going to be doing lot of reading on the Padres this week. I have adopted the Padres as my second baseball team. I fell in love with this team this week.

yup, robin, its going to be cool. he's one of my favorite players of all time. just did his job so excellently and didnt pimp himself like too many players do nowadays.
BTW, this is just the 4th number retired (ron santo's number 10 was retired in 2003 the last weekend of the year). only ernie banks, billy williams, ron santo and now sandberg have gotten the treatment.

I've always been a huge fan of Rhino. Like you said, he just went out there every day and gave 120% but stayed quiet and under the radar.
I like the fact that the Cubbies take retiring numbers very very seriously and therefore do it only sparingly. Unlike some other team......
