After avoiding what would have been significant salary arbitration increases for Joe Nathan, Johan Santana and Carlos Silva by signing the trio to multiyear contracts, look for the Twins to make leading hitter Joe Mauer a healthy multiyear offer this winter.
This would be a great move and show that the Twins are going to keep taking runs at the AL Central.
