Well this is probably it now for good. This was a very dissapointing weekend. Period. Twins needed to take this series against a team who has apprently rolled over for the year. Twins failed to get it done. This weekend took the life out of me for good. Yeah they can go have a great week, but who are they kidding. Their offense this weekend was pathetic especially Sunday. Twins had the bases loaded in several innings of Sunday's game, but failed to get one run of Chris Young of Texas. Now Chris Young is no slouch, but we ain't talking Johan, Halladay, or other elite pitchers when we think Chris Young. This offense is why I don't think the Twins are a playoff team. I don't think Lew, Michael Cuddyer, and Matthew Lecroy are going to carry this team offensively over long-term which I don't think they are a playoff team.
Twins can't go to next year with this same group. It would be nice if they can spend some money to get some guys who can hit. A veteran guy that can show the way. If not, well you can say fourth or maybe last place with the division getting even better next season. Sure they can pitch, but what is the point if they lose 1-0.
Johan was spectacular again. He has been awesome this entire month. Just watching him when he is on like now is special.
As for Saturday's game, it was good to see the offense come up well for one day. Brad was fantastic in that game. Brad has really come on to his own since his surgery. He has been fantastic since the second half.
