Two hits in his return to the lineup. Right now I would start him against every right handed pitcher and let Burke go against lefties.

One of those a double.

Yup, he should definitely get some playing time on a regular basis. Platooning him with Burke is a good idea.

Platooning Burke and Scott also gives Garner more options off the bench, meaning Palmeiro can go back to pinch-hitting, which is why he's there in the first place.

Can someone please tell me why Phil Garner keeps putting Mike Lamb in the lineup? Is it the .207 batting average, low OBP, or low slugging percentage that's swaying him. Who knows, maybe it's the fact that he's a defensive liability at every position he plays. I know what it is, he's 0 fer July and August so, "he's got a hunch he's due"
