Kyle has been fantastic this second half overall. Today, he was as great as he could be. With that said, this team can not expect him to pitch like that next year especially with Fransico Liriano ready to enter the scene. Liriano gives the team a much better shot to win than Kyle Lohse. So what if Liriano has growing pains. I definitely can live with that. There is no reason for him to be in the bullpen or in the minors. He might as well get his service time started now instead of waiting till later. I think it would be ridiculous to held him back.

Twins could use a bat badly so the best hope that Kyle continues to pitch lights out for the rest of the month and pray that some sucker take him off his hands. Even if we don't get a bat, the team must trade him this off-season. This has to be a goal.

He has been solid the whole year and as a young pitcher he should keep getting better. So ya with the hope and the way the Twins go I think they could and should trade Kyle for a bat.

At 26 he is still a very young pitcher that will give you innings and has got better each year. What I like this year is that his ERA is way down and so is his strikeouts. Which shows he trusting his defense and just pitching and not going for the strike out and just letting it happen. As my old coach said if you pitch to strike out you start to aim the ball. But all across the board his numbers are down and just like the rest of the Twins pitchers his win loss record isnt what it really should be.

But he will make some team a good pitcher for few years to come and so the Twins should be able to get a good bat out of him and yes as the Twins are they have some young guys that need to come up and jump in for them pitching.

He has done a great job this second half for the most part.

I am hoping the Twins can get Shea Hillenbrand for Lohse. Toronto has been so interested in him whenever I read the rumor mill.

The thing I like about Kyle is that he is working fast and throwing instead of thinking too much or worrying about the baserunner. He has a strong presence.

Kyle Lohse might have dented more than a door when he took out his frustration after being pulled from his last start after just two innings.

Lohse dented manager Ron Gardenhire's office door, apparently with a bat, injured his finger and might have permanently fractured his already strained relationship with the Twins, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Thursday.

He also might have jeopardized his place in the rotation -- and on the team's roster.

Soon after leaving Tuesday night's game after giving up five runs in two innings, Lohse went into the clubhouse and damaged Gardenhire's door -- denting the metal door and breaking the doorknob -- and dented the door to the locker room next to the manager's office, according to the paper. Lohse said he was upset that the coaching staff didn't "stand behind me and say, 'We've got your back.'"

"It's about winning," Gardenhire told the paper in response to the tantrum. "If you don't understand that, take a hike out of the clubhouse, because we're going to try to win whether you've got somebody's back or not. Whatever that means."

Lohse, who has had a tenuous relationship with club officials over the past three years, underwent X-rays and was wearing a bandage on his right middle finger but told the paper if he missed his next scheduled start, Monday at Detroit, "it's not going to be because of" the injury to his finger.

Lohse said he was still in the starting rotation "as far as I know," but Gardenhire has expressed a desire to get prospect Francisco Liriano at least one start this season.

Lohse is not eligible to be traded because he didn't clear waivers; he won his arbitration hearing to earn $2.4 million this season and could become a free agent if a deal is not made this offseason, the paper said.

The 26-year-old right-hander is 8-12 this season with a 4.36 ERA.

This guy just does not get it and he never will with that attitude. It's bad enough that he complained about his lack of run support and how he got taken out too early and how the team never has his back, but it's even worse when that piece of garbage goes out and destroys a portion of a manager's clubhouse door. This type of stuff is done by a kid at kindergarten. Obviously, Kyle thinks he is at kindergarten by whining like a little baby as he has done this entire season. Just who the hell does he think he is coming off like that? This guy is never accountable for his actions. This guy makes excuses after excuses whenever he loses. Acts like a total a-hole towards his teammates.

This incident in which he used his bat to make a dent at Gardenhire's door should be the last straw. I think he should be suspended the rest of the season. Gardenhire does not deserve this type of crap especially when you look at the fact that his heart is not going well and the fact that this team is going through so many problems.

His last start better be the last game that child pitches in a Twins uniform.
