As far as I am concerned, the Twins are playing the season out. Their hopes to win the Wild Card went kaput Wednesday in what was a pathetic effort against KC. Now, they are playing out the string. They are now going to be a "spoiler". I hate to use the word "spoiler". There is nothing special about being a spoiler. No bad teams should get a medal for being a spoiler. These guys are being paid well to produce even when they are out of it. I would hope they would be professional enough to play hard the rest of the month.

The Indians and the Twins have went opposite ways this second half. Indians only lost 8 or 9 times since the post All-Star break while the Twins simply went south outside of that hot strech in the last two weeks. The proof is in the pudding in why the Indians have a shot to win the wild-card while the Twins are in danger of finishing fourth or a losing season. Indians got the perfect balance in winning games while the Twins offense has showed you nothing all year.

The way the Indians are playing, I really have to wonder if the Twins got a shot to win the series or win a game.

I gotta say that I am not even excited about this weekend or the rest of the month.

That's the best I can describe about this team right now. Something tells me that there is more where it came from. With the way this team has gone, I bet they will win only 6-8 games this month and then finish with a losing record.

Just read that the attendance was brutal tonight. Only 16.119 showed up and it looked only 8,000 showed up from watching the highlights. Can't blame anyone for not going. I just looked at the highlights and there were too many blue seats. I think the fans know that it's a lost cause for good. Twins players better get used to playing their home games with not many fans on the seats for the rest of the month. Matty Lecroy said it best about why would fans want to come out with the way his team has played.

I think other people have other better things to do than watch the game on TV or at the Dome and rightfully so.

This Twins team would be wise to either fire Scott Ulleger or make trades to get a bat next year or else the fans won't even come out to the Dome next year.
