Gordon Wittemeyer talked about who may be out the door once the season is over. Believe me, there should be a lot of people that should be gone.
I think Joe Mays and Kyle Lohse are locks to be gone.
J.C. Romero could be out the door especially if Travis Bowyer can prove he can get the job done. Romero experiment should end. He did the best he could, but it's time for both the Twins and him to part ways.
Jacque Jones? I think it's best that he move on. Twins went as far as they could with him. He did a good job and I am sure he will do fine in his next job. The fact he slipped defensively in the second half and the fact he is hitting for average should not be good enough to warrant the money he is seeking.
Torii Hunter? It wouldn't be far-fetched if he is gone though I doubt it. He talked about how he won't be a happy camper if his friend, Jacque is back. He also talked about how he may be interested in playing for a team that wants to win. He has been ripping the organization for not going for it in recent years. I hope he stays though, but if the team feels that they could get something for him now before he leaves, they should do that. With the fact that there won't be a special session on the stadium or the stadium being built, Torii could be expendable.
Cuddyer and Lecroy are fighting for their jobs with the Twins and probably for the rest of the teams. Lecroy really hasn't done much and you have to wonder if he is on his last days here. Cuddyer has all this potential, but his career has been marred with inconsistency. Twins could do better than those two are giving them.
Lew Ford probably stays. He has redeemed himself for one more year. He has done well since the benching at Seattle.
Luis Rivas? He Gone.
Nick Punto? He should be gone. One great at-bat for eight games should not warrant everyday playing time.
Jason Bartlett? To me, he is nothing more than a guy that keeps the seat warm till Trevor Plouffe is ready.
L-Rod? He should stay. He should be the everyday second baseman.
Glenn Williams? He should get a shot at third. He could be the third baseman if the Twins don't get a FA.
Terry Tifee? He Gone.
Shannon Stewart? I could see him trade bait. I think next year is his last year for good.
I think we are going to see a whole new Twins team next year one way or another. That's not a bad thing.
