He will be out of Baltimore after some of his comments about his time in Baltimore:

I wouldn't mind having him on the Twins next year. Twins need some leaders and this guy could be one. He is the type of guy the Twins need. They need a guy who is not afraid to speak his mind.
I wrote my take on Kline here:

Nobody's going to take him, because he freakin' SUCKED this year. He's unhappy...... blah, blah, blah. He freakin' loves St. Louis so much. Big deal. He spends his time apparently, pining for St. Louis, while stinking up the joint for Baltimore.
He's not happy with the manager, he's not happy with the organization, he's not happy with not being used more.
IF HE FREAKIN' COULD PITCH, HE'D BE USED MORE!
The guy just gets me so pissed off. :Pissed:
So, if no one takes on his contract, the Orioles will have to eat all that money, or put up with his half-assed whiney cry-baby idea of doing his job.
Crap. He drives me nuts.

Steve is not helping himself by whining as you said. He needs to get over St. Louis. It was obvious that he wasn't happy about leaving Stl or the fact Stl did not want him so that clearly affected him with the Orioles. I know A.J. Pizeynerski had that similiar problem with the Giants last year along with Eddie Guardado in Seattle as those two clearly talked about how much they miss Minnesota.
I think the Twins could take Kline. He is not making that much, is he. He would be a closer if they trade Joe Nathan which could happen since he is making tons of money now or make more money in a few years. Or else Kline could be the setup man in case if they trade Juan Rincon to get a bat badly.
I would love to have Kline on the Twins.

I'm afraid I'm very bitter about Steve Kline. I wouldn't wish his sorry ass on anyone.

Not even the Yankees.
Kline would be fine with the Twins. If he hates his teammates, the state of Minnesota, the people, or the manager, that's fine as long as he wins and produces. Twins have too many nice guys. They need a guy who will speak his mind. They need a punk badly.

Not even the Yankees.
............ as long as he wins and produces. ....
Well........... maybe the Yankees. :D
But this is my point................ He doesn't win or produce. He doesn't do his job.
I swear to God......if someone mouths off and makes an ass of himself in public, I couldn't care less if he's doing his freakin' job and producing, which Steve Kline wasn't. He flat-out sucked. If he was winning games and keeping guys off base and doing his freakin' job, I don't give a sh*t what kind of attitude he's got.
What a waste of money he's been. He sucks. And that's what I wouldn't wish on any team.

Well sometimes players tend to have a rough year. Still, the Orioles should have known this was coming. Kline tends to be a guy that really shoots from the hip and go off the deep end. He got into it with Sean Casey, who is one of the nicest people in baseball. He talked about how he wish a Cub pitcher got hit in the head. He was caught giving LaRussa the finger on WGN-TV last year. This guy has had issues forever. Orioles should have done their homework here.

Kline had a decent year for the Cards in 2004, against LH hitters only (which is what LHP specialists do). He wasn't called on even once in the WS and in his only appearance in the NLCS against the Astros he gave up hits to the only two batters he faced: Jose Vizciano and Brad Ausmus
Who cares? He's nobody of any importance in the MLB or even on the O's team. He want to leave, then he can leave. I really don't like players whining ''I wish I was on my old team.''. Keep that type of whining to yourself. Other people really don't care. Obviously, they whine when the team they're on isn't doing good. If he doesn't know, he isn't helping, or ever was, helping the O's be a better team this year.
He's over-rated trash in my mind. Never that big of deal last off-season. Most people don't know or care who Kline is.
