At this point, it's best that they shut it down and get ready for next year they are with the ballclub. They did a great job playing hurt all season. I know Shannon has been in pain since he made that catch against the White Sox at Minneapolis several weeks ago in which the Twins won 1-0 on a Jacque Jones HR. Brad has been in pain all season with that neck.
Joe Mays will be starting the rest of the way. He might as well finish up his tenure by starting the rest of the way.
