ATLANTA (AP) - Philadelphia's Jimmy Rollins singled in the fourth inning against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday night to extend his hitting streak to 26 games, tying the Phillies' franchise record since 1900.

Chuck Klein had two 26-game streaks in 1930, the team record for a post-1900 player. Two players from the 1800s had longer streaks - Billy Hamilton (36 games in 1894) and Ed Delahanty (31 in 1899).

Rollins' had never hit in more than 12 straight games before his current streak, the longest in the NL this season and second overall to a 29-game run by Boston's Johnny Damon.
