So last year I had the second highest scoring team but only squeaked into the playoffs because my opponents always had an amazing week. I counted and 8 times I played the highest scoring team that week, so even though I would score 70-80 points, they would score 80-90. 6 times my opponents had their best week of the season against me, thus, over half the league had their best week at my expense. That, coupled with the fact that I had weak receivers (Derrick Mason and whatever two schlubs I could find who would catch a pass) spelled my demise despite my great QB and RBs.

I really liked my team this season, I felt I had a good balance amung all positions, but the same problems are again killing me. I'm 1-2 with the highest total of points in the league because my opponents are again having amazing weeks against me. This week, my opponent didn't update his roster, so he had two guys with byes playing and he still managed to score 85 points to my 71 and beat me. My receivers, again, suck. Harrison has done nothing, Walker is done for the season and Bryant/Evans/Coles/Rogers have yet to step up. It's going to be a long season.

I can relate. My team has been consistantly mediocur. I score in the high 60's and the first week I got beat by 12, the second week by 2. I haven't had any player have a "great" week. I still think I'll win my share of games, but I have to hope the other guy doesn't have a player performance like Alexander had yesterday or I'm cooked.

Mine usually evens out. For the last 4 years I've lost the week I had my biggest output. At the same time, it seems like there's always one week that my guys stink it up and still get the dubya because the other team stunk even more.

Now 3 weeks in a row I've had the second highest scoring team of the week. Also, three weeks in a row I've played the highest scoring team of the week. Thus, 3 losses and a 1-3 record. :ugh:
