A.J. Burnett, who will be a free agent when the season ends, lost his sixth consecutive decision and declared himself done with the Marlins, ripping management in the process. Sunday, the quiet of the post-game clubhouse was pierced with profanities screamed from behind a closed door to the manager's office by third-base coach Jeff Cox. A few minutes later, a crash could be heard echoing from the shower room where Burnett had gone. He emerged from shower and gave Cox a hard stare as they walked past each other. Then Burnett walked to his locker and let loose to reporters. "We play scared. We manage scared. We coach scared and I'm sick of it. It's depressing around here," said Burnett, whose record fell to 12-12. "It's like they expect us to mess up, and when we do they chew us out. There's no positive nothing around here for anybody."

Wow there is some fire there.

It must be disappointing to lose with such a team that the Marlins constructed. You had Burnett, Beckett and Willis as a 1-2-3 punch. Only Houston can match it. Marlins are barely over 500., even with Jones stepping up big time as the savoir in the bullpen. Marlins hitting has been disappointing beside Cabrera and Delgado. Lowell and Pierre struggles killed this team.

Lowell should be gone, but moving him will be diffcult. Pierre being moved? Not sure, not too familar with the Marlins organization. I wouldn't be shock. Marlins had a team that should have won the division. Not a team struggling to keep above 500. and above to be out of the playoff this year.

Disappointing season is all I got to say. Burnett is obviously gone and should be a Yankee, Red Sox, O, Angel or White Sox come next year.

Wouldn't it be nice if most Twins players do the same thing after the season we endured this year? I was so glad to see Silva call out his teammates few weeks ago. I wish there was more than one. I had no problem with what Burnett said. If he feels that way, he should speak out and not insult the fans with their intelligence.
