I have been doing lot of thinking to how Justin Morneau became a very good hitter last year and be a bad hitter this season. Something is up. You don't become very good and then be the worse hitter in one year. You don't lose all of that in a year. I have this feeling that he may have taken steroids to enhance his performance. This guy was hitting HRs almost every game last year. I recalled that he was hitting 11 HRs in span of 11 games in a row. His HRs went pretty deep to the Vikings press box which is unusual since most HRs don't go that high as his was. Another thing. How come he had all those health problems this season? Isn't that a side effect to using steroids? His body looked like it has broken down. He looked very slow last year. His bat speed was beyond bad. Also last year, he looked like an Incredible Hulk. This year, he looked like a lost of weight and I doubt it's because he started taking the Atkins Diet all of a sudden.

There are so many evidences that I see in Morneau that makes me think that he is taking the juice. I don't like to make accusations, but I just think some of the evidences that I see make it interesting.

In 74 games last year, he had 19 HR. In 137 games this year, he has 21 HR. I really do not see where you're going, once again, with a weird theory you have about the Twins and it's players, which you have daily. His power numbers were great last year, but you know, maybe it had to do with being hot and being the man that took the starting job from Doug?

No offense, dude, but once again, you have no evidence. You seem to be making yet another baseless statement and yet another negative statement about a player of the Minnesota Twins. You're just merely speculating, like usual. Man, could you pick a a better person to point a finger at who's using steriods than Morneau? I wonder if you would have even notice if Morneau was not on the Twins.

Mike Lowell must have be drinking steriods during the game last year. Because his numbers are much further down than Morneau.

Geez, this isn't a witch hunt. Until real evidences is found, don't point fingers at a player possibly using steriods. Again, this is not a witch hunt. Also, you don't need to degrade the Twins and it's players any further you have this year, do you?

Then how come Justin started having mysterous injuries this offseason and this season. How come it took him forever to get back on the field this season? How do you just lose it after a year? You realize that he can't get a hit on the field. His hits are either home runs or nothing. This guy lost a lot of weight and he looks so much different than I saw last year. Last year, he had a body of the Incredible Hulk. This year, he has a body of Meg Griffin. Those are evidences right there. Maybe I am speculating, but there has to be serious concern to how Justin have low numbers and all of the other stuff he had this season.

I can't help but be concerned with what has gone on. I am not throwing this out of the blue. I have been thinking long and hard about this today. I don't have to apologize for making this claim. I think he is a steroid user and I will stand by my story on this. Unless he proves that he is not, I have no choice but to think he is.

This article is from April 4. 2005 and I think this puts any speculation to rest. Imagine what it was like when you had chicken pox; now try to imagine playing at the MLB level and having other health ailments.

Notes: Morneau says he's healthy
First baseman looks to put series of ailments in the past
By Mark Sheldon / MLB.com

SEATTLE -- After one offseason ailment after another, Twins first baseman Justin Morneau knew he had his work cut out for him in Spring Training to get ready for the regular season. Appendicitis, chicken pox and pleurisy made it difficult for Morneau to maintain his offseason workout routine. A bout of pneumonia just before camp made it impossible. Having a lymph node removed during camp also sidelined him for a couple of days.

Although he felt weakened and behind schedule entering spring, the 23-year-old cleanup hitter believes he has caught up in time to be productive out of the gate.

"(I feel) as good as I expected to feel," Morneau said. "Not quite 100 percent, but close enough."

Morneau batted .250 (14-for-56) in 19 exhibition games.

"I had enough at-bats in Spring Training," Morneau said. "It's just strength."

"He looks fine," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "He's right there with the rest of them. I think he's gotten through all that stuff."

After taking over for Doug Mientkiewicz at first base in the middle of last season, Morneau batted .271 with 19 home runs and 58 RBIs in 74 games. Entering his first full season in the Major Leagues, many are projecting that the power hitter will give the Twins their first 30 home run hitter since 1987.

Gardenhire isn't buying into that hype.

"I don't think it's really fair to start putting numbers on guys," he said. "I think you just let them do it. Let him play and he'll make up the numbers for you. There's nothing to compare it to because, really, this is going to be his first full year.

"It'll be interesting to see what he does. I'm looking forward to watching him play."

That is what I keep saying Les. It takes time to get over that kind of stuff then adding up a full season in which this is being his first season. I like to give a young guy a couple of seasons before I send them to the scrap heap. I know I am now just getting healed up and my strength back form this spring when I got hurt.

But I guess no one believes that...

Morneau Got Sick in the offseason... really sick..he got chicken pox, which really kicks your ass if you don't get it as a kid... To be honest Timberwolf... this is a pretty pathetic thread... completely baseless accusations...

Unless he proves that he is not, I have no choice but to think he is.

That is just stupid...You are a baby killer... i will have no choice but to think you are until you prove me that you are not
