nono, what I see is more likely is the Red sox signing him to like a 5 year contract...

Piazza

Why so interesting ??? It was known the Piazza would be a free agent after the end of the year and that he wouldn't stay with the mets.

It's interesting because no one knows where he will sign. A nice free agent DH pick up for some AL team.

ok... I thought Guru was talking about that it was interesting that he was a free agent, not that there is different possibilites of where he might go | what position he might play.

I find it laughable that the NY media and talkies are talking about how the Yankees should try to entice B.J. Ryan or Billy Wagner to be the setup man for a chance to get that ring. Fat chance. For one thing, those two can go to a good team and play a big role in leading that particular team to a championship.

Twins better sign someone from that list to help that anemic lineup.

Exactly.. Also by interesting, I meant pretty good players on that list.. None are interesting from the standpoint that they are FA's, as we know that is a possibility when they sign their contracts....

No one knows where any of these players will sign.. Will they stay or will they go?

Trevor Hoffman is not going anywhere but La Jolla and Petco. :nope:

I have been hearing that Ramon Hernandez will be signed by the Mets but then heard yesterday that the Yankees braintrust is trying to convince George that Posada is done and to go after Ramon. As long as Ramon does not end up on the Mets or the Padres, I'll be happy.

Why is that? You dont care for him?

He is a decent catcher with decent power and average...

He went against the team's permission to get his wrist surgery and made comments like, "I have to think about my future and support my family" and clearly all season long, his priority has been the big paycheck he expects to get this Nov. That's fine, I wish him well. He seems like a nice enough guy but after hearing Bochy's, Loretta and a few others' comments, I would just assume not have him on either team. He doesn't block the plate well at all and will not even stick out a shin guard. This goes back to his Oakland days too. NO thanks. He can go to any other team but the Padres or Mets. I mean, I love his bat when his heart is in it but when it isn't... :nope:
