I'm not surprised. He's going to start practicing with the team. More details to come.

Thanx Eric. I kinda figured when they didn't put him on the IR that he'd be back. God Bless.

Man I dont know if this is a good move for the guy.

I hope he gets back on the field you hate to see anything happen to someone like this but I would think he would need a year off just to get back and then see how everything checks out.

But with that said I hope he does ok and is ok for the season. I do think the Pats need someone like Ted out there but I hope nothing happens to him.

Well, he's eligible to practice as of Monday. He can play in 3 weeks. He has to pass a conditioning test, and he needs a doctor to sign off.

I bet he's back for the Colts game.

I love bruschi, and would love to see him on the field, but the dude had a stroke!! It's just not a good idea healthwise to send him out there playing freaking football!

is belichick signing off on this?

It's not Belichick's decision. If there was any imminent danger, Bruschi would not play. He is not stupid. The doctors have cleared him to practice. I am sure lots of steps will be taken before a decision is made.

The wheels are still turning on a return for Tedy Bruschi this season, but road blocks remain. Bruschi can return to the practice field as early as Monday. That's when the Patriots linebacker is eligible to come off the ``physically unable to perform'' list. A source familiar with the situation said that what is apparent to the casual observer - that Bruschi is itching to play - is accurate. But that doesn't mean Bruschi's return is anymore certain. ``I think that he's gearing up to play, but I don't know if (owner) Robert Kraft is gearing up for him to play. I don't know if (Kraft Group lawyer) Richard Kareliez is gearing up for him to play,'' said the source. ``Everyone is still waiting for that shoe to drop.'' Sources say that Kraft insisted Bruschi see a certain set of specialists this week, Bruschi agreed, and word is, the assessment of those doctors was positive.
There will be many people that is going to have to sign off on this I think.

If the doctors sign off on it, go ahead. I admit i am a bit leery about it. But he's a grown boy who can make his own decisions. and if the doctors think he isnt taking any bigger of a risk than any other player, who am i to say he shouldnt at least try?

of course it's belichick's decision...if he doesnt want bruschi playing if he thinks he'll hurt himself even more, bruschi wont play, dont you think?

I think this is a great move for Bruschi and the Pats. However,it's only a good move if he is absolutely healthy and ready to play. A stroke is a very serious thing and shouldn't be messed with. He's got to put his family first here.

I hope he comes back and tears it up this year!!!

The doctors and lawyers have ruled that Tedy Bruschi can return to practice. Now Bill Belichick must decide if he's ready to play. A Patriots spokesman yesterday confirmed Bruschi has received complete legal and medical clearance to rejoin his teammates for practice as soon as tomorrow. The team has left it up to Bruschi and his family to decide whether or not he returns, but Bruschi already has said he'd like to try. ``The Patriots organization is satisfied that Tedy Bruschi has received the best medical attention possible and has been assured that he is medically cleared to resume his playing career,'' the team said in a statement.
