Okay so I just bought tix to Rangers vs. Florida for January 7th. A christmas present for my BF. I have never been to a game and i have never given hockey a fair shot. I hear its supposed to be better in person. Well we shall see.
I remember when i was little my dad used to take me to watch the Rangers skate at Playland in Rye, it was awesome but i never got into it, i liked figure skating more, more gracefull i think;)
Anywho, just wanted to share:)

Awesome, I used to go Rangers games all the time when they were good. They look promising so far this year.

Going to an NHL game and watching it in person is 10 times more exciting than watching it on TV. Hope you have a great time.

I totally get you! I hate the NBA. I'll play b-ball, watch a bunch of kids play a pick up game, but for some reason the NBA totally bores me to death.

Not even the Pistons could get you going.
Well I can't blame you about the Pistons. They bore the crap out of me.

I'm a Detroit fan all around, when it comes to basketball I root for the pistons all the way but I won't watch it if I can help it. I watched more basketball last year than I ever have in my life. Nick and I go to Rock Bottom quite a bit and they had basketball on in the absence of hockey and I probably watched a dozen or so games.

Yeah. sadly so does college Bball, i mean i have to work the games here at school and i want to cry, i feel like i have wasted my time. it also doenst help that they arent all that good.
I was acutally watching a hockey game on TV the other night it was Rangers and someone, and i was trying ot get my bf to explain it to me, but i couldnt really follow the puck so i got bored and fell asleep. although didnt stay sleeping for that long casue he kept yelling. sounded like me durring a giant game, or yankee game. Oh well, i am still really excited about going though. i hope i can learn it all by then, or at least get a better handle on it. I am so used to being the one who teaches a person the sport. oh well.....it happens:)
