Sox or Stros?

Gotta go with the 'Stros. They really caught my attention last year in the playoffs, and I loved watching them play during this championship series.

Man this is tough. The Sox are my second favorite team. I'd like to see them win, but I thinking about the amount of crap I will get for the rest of my life (since I'm a Cubs fan) if they do makes me cringe. I do like the Astros too. Can the World Series end in a tie? Can there be a stipulation put in that if the White Sox win, then the Cubs get to win next year by default? :D

I havent rooted for or against a team the entire postseason because i dont like any of the teams. Therefore, I am just going to hope that it is good baseball and watch it like that.

I'm torn. I'd like to see the Sox do well because it has been such a long time since they've won anything and a very good pal of mine is a huge sox fan. But on the other hand, the Astro's have a bunch of players that I really like and a few ex-Tigers that I'd love to see with a ring on thier finger.

Don't really have a preference on who win and who lose the WS. I'm indifferent towards both team. I just hope they play some good baseball and entertain me and the many fans around the world. Lame way of putting it, but that's how I feel about the WS and it's team this year.

Astros

I like to see Biggio and Bagwell get a ring before they retire.

a few ex-Tigers that I'd love to see with a ring on thier finger.

Does that include Phil Garner too?

I only ask because I encounter Tigers fans who hated Garner in his time there. I don't think it was his fault that the Tigers were bad.

I used to hate him, but I was young when he was here and it was an irrational hate. I didn't hate him because of anything he did or didn't do. I hated him because he wasn't Sparky. I grew up and the hate left. I can't blaime anyone or anything for the Tigers being bad because I don't know who or what to blaime. They've been bad my entire life. I wish nothing but the best and plenty of success - even if they find it elsewhere and not with the Tigers organization - for ALL former Tigers with one exception of Juan Gone

White Sox, period!

I refuse to root for any team where Clemens is playing for....Ugh! But I like Andy Pettitte. Oh well.....so that is why I choose White Sox. Another reason, they hadn't won WS since 1917. So it may be their luck to win since Red Sox had won last year. My bratty kid, of course, roots for Astros because of Pettitte, his favorite pitcher. My oldest son roots for White Sox, yay. I haven't yet asked my daughter which team she's gonna rooting this time. My hubby doesn't care because he'd stick with Mets and Red Sox, nothing else. :hmm:

Jen: Blame it on Randy Smith, the former GM of the Tigers. My god was he lousy. The only time he knew how to make deals was when he made his deals with his dad, Tal Smith, who was with the Astros at the time. That was basically it. I thought Randy would have done well with the Tigers. In 1996, I raved about this hiring and all. I thought he would have turned this franchise around. It looked like it would happen in 1997 and then this team went backwards and never recovered.
