It was a sad week for the Indians this week as Ted Bonda (http://www.addictsports.com/baseball/showthread.php?t=54974) and Hal Lebovitz (http://www.addictsports.com/baseball/showthread.php?t=54855) passed away. Hal was a long time sports writer for over 60 years, and in the mid 60s, when threats of an move were growing he singled out the entire Indians board of directors, placing their pics on the front page of the sports pages to garner public support to keep the Indians in town. In the mid 70s, the Tribe was all but ready to move, but Ted Bonda stepped in, bought the team and kept them in place. These two great men will be missed.
I encourage anyone to go and read the article about Hal, he led a very interesting life that is a fun read.
