Lidge will bounce back. He's too good. And I believe he'll return to form in the next game. He'll save it for Oswalt!
And after seeing his post game interview, I tip my cap to Lidge. Pure Class!!! He faced all the reporter's questions and some DUMB ones at that! I've become a fan of his for sure!!!

Basically he said he's going to keep doing what he does. He's a fastball and slider pitcher. Sometimes people hit your heat. Sometimes you hang sliders. I've seen people go after this guy here in town and it baffles me. He's had two bad games in the playoffs in two years. Think about that for a second. He has pitched in nearly fifteen games in the last two playoffs and two of them have been bad. Yes, that's a higher percentage than normal, but it's not outrageous.
Dan Wheeler legitimately loaded the bases (phantom HBP or no) with two outs. That is inexcusable. You have to find a way to get out of that inning. Of course, the White Sox fans can say the same about their closer in the 9th. It's baseball, stuff happens. They made one more play than we did. We bring them back home and hope the reverse happens.
As an Astros fan, I'm worried only because our game four and five pitchers could be Backe/Rodriguez but overall I'm not worried. We're not getting blown out of the water like the Cards did last year. The Sox have made one more play than us two games in a row.

Tony, try not to focus so much on Lidge having a bad game at the end the other night. We didn't lose that game because of Lidge, and thinking so is like blaming FEMA for the damage caused by a hurricane. Don't fall into the trap set by the media to lure and mold its most mindless viewers.
