 She was hit in the face, pushed, and her hair was pulled by Chisox fans. Ozzie has apologized, and wants to apologize to Biggio in person.

WTF is wrong with men? I notice men treating women badly is on the rise. At the Broncos/Pats game I went to last week I noticed this. While walking through the parking lot, I would see a group of male Pats fans walk by, and no one says a word. I walk by alone, and guys say the most disgusting things and try to start fights with you.

I laughed and called them cowards. When did men turn into cowards? Not all mind you, but geez.....

The man claimed he was innocent and the Biggios declined to press charges, so the Sox released him after interviewing him.

The man, whom the Sox won't identify, is banned from U.S. Cellular Field until team officials figure out exactly what happened. They did learn he was sitting in seats that belonged to "a medical consultant to the club who gave them to another doctor,'' said Reifert.

You know, one idiot can make a whole group look bad and with what happened with the Royals 1B coach and I believe there was an incident with a fan and an umpire a couple of years ago, White Sox fans are going to have an unjustly bad light shine on them. Hopefully Houston fans understand this. There'll be plenty of booing but I'd sure hate to see anything else.

Biggio should press charges. Screw that loser. I don't care who he is a fan of, that guy should be in jail.

One idiot can ruin everything. But I don't care, you hit a woman, you belong in jail. Period. :gripe:

I'm not sure about the men treating women badly thing, Jacqui. I know we can be pigs sometimes with our comments and whistles, but I haven't seen any overall jump in men harassing women. I do agree about going straight to the pokey for hitting a woman. I grew up with a bunch of annoying little sisters who I wanted to belt now and then, but was always more afraid what my pop would do to me if I did, or that my friends would just call me a puss for fighting with a girl.

What I have seen is a general decline in fan behavior, period. And I've seen it in Houston as well as everywhere else. And I'd bet a fiver to a penny that some Houston fan will get liquored up tonight and try to pick a fight with a Sox fan just to 'get even' for this deal with Biggio's wife. Hope I'm wrong.

This 'man' in Chicago is not indicative of the majority of White Sox fans. He should be banned from ALL major league parks FOR-effin-EVER!

I won't generalize and say it's men. I'll just say it just some idiot baseball fan that they they're being ''passionate'' for the game by being a dick to fans of the other team. Obviously, they're not being passionate for the game, but going completely over-board. Not going to say White Sox fans act like this, because they don't. I don't want my opinion of an entire fan base ruined due to one idiot being a jerk to a woman.

I'm all for some fun heckling of on the other team, but come on. People are really taking a ''game'' far too serious. I've seen people throw beer at other people, because they're a fan of another team. What does that do? Show you're a good fan? If that's how to be a good fan, I want no part in it.

Anyway, good thing he got banned. Once the issue is completely clear up and he's without a doubt doing what Biggio's wife said he did, then I'm in an agree with me PopTop. Ban that sucker from all major league parks for good.

It's bad enough that the White Sox organization has to apologize for such actions of some fool that not even a part of their staff, but a retarded fan that has nothing better to than hit women. That's pretty low.

I've seen people throw beer at other people, because they're a fan of another team. What does that do? Well, it wastes damn expensive beer, that's for sure. And I call that alcohol abuse of the most extreme

Amen to that, you have to weigh the desire not to waste the eight dollars you spent on beer versus the fact that it is the horse piss that Miller and Budweiser release. :lmao:

The problem with banning his butt is that he's probably not a real fan anyway, so it won't be any big deal to him.

Exactly. I'm sorry but this concept of it being okay for a man to hit a woman is absurd. I am truly disgusted this man was not arrested. What the hell kind of message does this send?

I've always thought that the best way to deal with those folks is public embarassment. Right now, he is some obscure loser. Everyone needs to know this guy's name and what he looks like so they can laugh at his ass for years on in. It kind of reminds me of the idiot Ranger fan that trampled over a three year old and his mother to get a foul ball. Before the end of the weekend, everyone knew who he was and he was the brunt of every joke. In fact, a "Real Men of Genius" commercial was written based on his behavior.

I think in most cases people like that think they're hilarious and that people will support them because they are "taking on the enemy." Listen, I love going to a game and raising some hell. Cheering like you do at the game is something you just don't do at home. When that behavior starts to ruin someone else's enjoyment of the game you have stepped over the line. If you find yourself physically threatening or harming an opposing fan you've stepped way over the line. It doesn't matter whether it is a man or a woman (although hitting a woman is despicable), getting physical at a game is just plain stupid. Someone wise once said, "it's only a game." It doesn't seem like that now, but it's true.
