Hey, it was one hell of a season!

You guys lost to a damn good White Sox team and have NOTHING to be ashamed of.. You guys overcame amazing odds to get to this point..

15-30 to start the season and to beat a good Braves team and then beat a great Cards team to get to the World Series..

I know a loss in the WS is tough, especially to get swept, but I for one want to applaud the Astros organization plus their great fans on a great season!

To all of the Astros fans at this forum, I love you guys!

I sincerely mean that! :)

Yup! Congrats to the Astros on a great season.

Of course, I'm sad today. I really wanted to see them go all the way.

Man. Backe pitched the game of his life last night.

A lot of people will talk about choking, but this is the kind of game we've played all season. This might be the most flawed playoff team we've had since 1997, but they made it further than any team in Astros history. Astros fans need to remember that.

The Astros are NL Champions for a whole year. I'm proud of them. I remember when I was simply hoping for a winning season. They went way beyond that.

Congrats on a fine season, Astros fans. There is no shame in losing to the best team in baseball.

Anyone that calls this a choke is just clueless. The 2004 Yankees....now THAT was a choke. :D

Jacqui,

We've never made it this far before and we were picked to lose in every series. If we go into a World Series again with 110 wins and a murderer's row lineup then I'll be pissed if we lose. Going in with fewer than 90 wins and a lineup held together by duct tape is a whole different story.

No need to explain. I am happy if you are happy.

congrats on a fine year. And you're right 'zilla, that this team went further than should be expected with the amount of flaws they had. all in all a good year.

Congrats on a gutsy year. I hope this is not the end for Roger Clemens, he is one of my all time favorite players. I would almost have been worth losing a game in this series so we could see him one more time. His last game should not be a 2 inning outing.

Congrats!

I'm very proud of this bunch. I've waited all my life to see my team in the World Series and it finally happened. I'm disappointed that we didn't win a game but we were in every single game. We gave the Sox more fits than any AL team did this year, their year of destiny. We'll be back, and when we do I won't settle for just being there.

Congrats on a great season Astros  You guys proved to be very worthy World Series opponents.

Honestly, you guys could have easily won those 4 games.

The Astros and thier fans have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.Just having a taste of World Series excitement just leaves you wanting more.I hope that someday you all experience the joy that I'm feeling today. It's something that you'll never forget.

I wish all my Astro friends here nothing but the best for your team in 2006 and beyond.

At least you have the pleasure of saying "my team finally went to the World Series".

I for one will try to get ticets for the rematch in Chicago in late June as part of Interleague play next season.

Yes, congrats right back. The Sox made the plays when they needed to make them. That's what champions do.

I've sorta' waited for the dust to settle a bit before saying that I truely enjoyed this WS. I don't think any other NL team would have played the White Sox so close in every game. You Texas folks are the best, and hopefully we can have a brewski or two together next Spring!

Oh, yeah - Bradley Lidge is still great, spectacular and awesome!

Well... yes, I do! :D

Actually, he's a Colorado boy that was a big part of the 'Stros getting to the Series in the first place. The fact that he coughed up a couple of hairballs in the playoffs, well, those things happen. I still enjoy watching him pitch. It was Willie B. that gave him the tag truly great, spectacular and awesome, haha!

And Guru, what's up with your computer - lexdysic? ;)

You like my lexdysic photo?;)

Ah yes, the NL Champion Houston Sortsa! If you say that fast enough, it almost sounds like the Houston Salsa...Sal-sa! Such a fun little word for a condiment, or a baseball team. George Costanza would undoubtedly be a fan unless he stuck to his guns and wouldn't let no SOB's from Texas get him to be a fan :D
