what's up all? just wanted to start a topic where everyone lists their fav spots video games. I'll list some of the ones that I liked.

*NBA JAM! Yeah man, now THAT was a game. I used to try to shoot from one end of the court to another.
*Mario sports games! Those are just fun to mess with when you have friends over.
*1080/Coolboarders! Man, those on PS1 were fun.
*NBA '06! Wanna try out the new RPG/Basketball thing they're doing, seems cool.

I go with the old EA Sports games. Madden, NCAA, and MVP Baseball.

I'm like Durango. I go with the EA stuff. Madden (though IMO the best football game ever was last years Sega ESPN game), MVP Baseball, NHL Hockey. I also like Hot Shots Golf and sometimes I'll pick up a NASCAR game if I'm in the mood (and it's real cheap)

I have the whole EA Collection for this year except for like the Rugby/Fifa games lol.

Madden, MVP, NBA, NHL, TW Golf and stuff. NHL is amazing. I've been playing that over Madden.

Well, I decided to expand my sports game section by buying NBA '06. (Not out yet, but it will be mine when it comes out!) Read more on it and the story mode sounds pretty cool. It sounds like there's more to it than other games, so it's worth a shot, no? Stuff like endorsements, houses, fame, and music vids seem to give me the impression that there's more than basketball playing in this game. So ha ha! it's mine.

Sports games are my favorite, NCAA Football, Madden, NBA Live, you name I play it and I love it. My loyalty is more to EA Sports than any other company, but I like to try other games too. BTW, has anybody heard about the new NFL Head Coach game EA Sports is coming out with? Check out their website for more info on it.

NFL & NBA Street are both great as well. Especially when you are kicking back with your homies and indulging in certain liquid refreshments. ;)

I actually bought NBA '06 and highly reccomend it to any basketball fans. The story mode really was that good, I didn't think you could go into so much depth on "the life of an nba star" And the mini games weren't too shabby either, quite fun to play when I don't wanna get serious about the game. Next up: online mode, sounds like the big tournaments will be fun.

I love playing Madden but I don't play it online yet. I also play NBA 06 but I play it on the PSP since I am always on the go. Is it that different from the PS2 version? The mini games are a great addition as well as online play. I am very impressed to see Sony revamped this franchise this year. NHL Hitz is also another good sports games. You can never get too much of fighting in hockey.

I haven't played the PSP version of NBA 06 but what do you think about it? I thought about picking up a PSP over the holidays and I might just buy the PSP version of NBA 06 if it's anything like the PS2 version (I travel frequently so I have tons of time for portable gaming). Such an awesome sports game. I guess the PSP version does have the Life mode but ah well the game play is so good that I wouldn't miss it too much.

Well, I've played the hell outta nba 06, but I still haven't played it online. Anyone that has it on PS2 wanna play me online? I finally figured out how to set it up, but I'm too scared to challenge someone at random, so yeah, I'd feel more comfortable playing someone that I planned a match with. I hear the online play is really fun and very lagless for a busy server. (I just wanna look at it and play.)

I'll be happy to play you in Madden or NHL, I don't have NBA.

Here are my Top 5 favorites:

1: Triple Play 2000, now that was the shiz

2: MLB Slugfest Loaded, I'm ranked in the top 20 in the world on Xbox Live. I've beaten everyone in the top 10 except for number 1. He beat me in extra innings...

3: NBA Street (original), this was a great game.

4: Tiger Woods 05 and 06, I love these games, they're unbelieveably fun.

5: MVP Baseball (the series), all of these are ridiculously fun...

check this out. last year in madden 05 me and some of my pals tried starting a madden league. we had 32 players and we drew teams out of a hat. then we fantasy drafted on auto so that teams would be even. we planned to play out the entire schedule of the nfl season including playoffs, but it was too hard to organize the games, due to lack of cars and interest. i plan to start this thing again in college just by hanging up ads or something around campus. what do you guys think of this. BTW i drew the jags.

That's awesome. My friends would never do it though, they never score on me.

looking back on it i get excited. i wish those jerks would have showed up for their games. if they had something like this in online play i think it would be really successful.

I got NBA Live '05, and am playing Dynasty Mode. Here's my team:

PF: Carlos Boozer
SF: Tayshaun Prince
C: Chris Bosh
SG: Lebron James
PG: Tony Parker

Can you believe when I simulate a season with that team that they can't even finish above .500?

Dward, playing quite a throwback in Live 05, try Live 06 its pretty good.

**GAMERS ALERT**

Be on the look out for March Madness 06 (Raymond Felton on the cover)
This game is glitched filled and IMO a must not buy! I played in dynasty mode with Texas and had two players leave early and two graduate, I recruit well and have my returning players come back and I find out that my returning players ratings have DECREASED! This game really makes EA Sports look bad, in dynasty mode you can't change a player's position. In exhibition mode I wanted to change a friend of mine's (he plays Georgia State) dunk rating (he's 5'9" in real life) so he could dunk, turns out it doesn't work. If you want the game get it, but I wouldn't buy it.

I love EA Sports. NBA Live is addicting, even more so with '06. I loved Triple Play Baseball. I know most people didn't like it, but Blitz was the greatest game ever created. Violence mixed with sports: nothing compares to that.
