Hall of Fame - 2006 Ford C. Frick Award (http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/hofers_and_honorees/frick/index_002.htm)
Get over to the link above and vote for your favorite baseball broadcaster. The voting lasts all month, and you can vote once a day. All Astros fans are required to pick Gene Elston lest they draw my ire ;) Anyone else with an extra ballot to cast among the three nominees you get each day, I'd greatly appreciate your support for Elston. Thanks!
Remember the campaign motto of the late president Lyndon B. Johnson: Vote early and vote often!

One vote for Gene and zero votes for anyone else travels a long distance. If we can get everyone to do this, maybe I can talk Willie into a road trip with me to visit each and everyone of you who votes for Elston and no one else, cook up a special dinner for you and get drunker than Cooter Brown right in your very own living room (or bedroom as the case may be. )
Of course this is all contingent upon Gene winning and Willie willing. :smokin:

Hey Dale, I'll settle for a beer and some good chicken wings. Seriously though folks, let's get Elston in there.

I'm voting three times a day for Elston and no one else. Not that I'm encouraging anyone else to cheat but if you use a different name and e-mail address for each vote, it works out.

Because the HOF's online fan voting page has been down several times due to high traffic, they decided to create 4 mirror sites for fans to use to cast their online fan votes for the Frick Award nominees.
Problem is, they didn't bother to inform anyone of the change in the link to the online fan voting page.
The current link is no longer any good.
Below is the new and current link to the Frick Award online fan voting page. You have a choice of 4 mirror sites to vote if one of them is too slow or temporarily down:

James, I noticed this just the other day, and what concerns me are the names of those 'mirror sites' for balloting: East, Midwest, South, West! I've got no idea if it matters which one you vote in, but I've been going into #3 for the South.
This is pretty normal operations for the Hall of Fame if you ask me :hmm: Eh, but what do you expect from a bunch of hypocrites running a baseball memorabilia warehouse :notme:
