Manny will be traded. ASAP.
Damon will NOT be resigned.
Schilling will be traded to a contender at the trade deadline if he is healthy.
Henry will gut the team, sell, make a fortune, and leave it in disarray.

Next World Series: 3023. :(

I think that's worst case scenario right there...not out of the question for sure, but worst case definately.

Can we impeach? :D we can impeach the president...why can't we impeach the red sox gov't?

In all seriousness, Theo was Manny's only FO support. Lucchino HATES him. He will trade him for a bag of balls. And Damon LOVED Theo, I seriously doubt he re-signs now.

With Theo's departure, I take Manny's request to be trade a bit more serious. Manny being Manny, but taking into account that Theo was a players' GM, I know a lot of them are not happy about this. I think Mueller and Millar are glad to be heading out the door. Manny might be one not happy by this move, but you never know with Manny. He's just too damn random.

As I said earlier, I would be shocked if Damon back, even with Theo here. The chances of him being back now might be reduce, but once again, I'm not sure if Damon was cool with Theo like the rest of the team. From his comment, I would guess he is. Also, why would Damon want to come back to organization that bash one of their own employee until he has to leave due to bashing he's taking on a personal level?

That's the problem Eva. All the goodwill this ownership had winning the WS is gone. Everyone wanted to come here. Not now.

God I'm so mad at Larry and Henry I could kill. I am dying for them to speak. Dying. Their silence is deafening. They have no idea how to spin this.

Pretty much. If you don't do what they wanted, then they'll throw your name in the mud in the city using the paper and the public will turn on you. We boo'ed Manny pretty fast after Larry revealed information that Manny wanted to be trade, which should not have been public. It's not diffcult to turn fans on people, especially Red Sox fans, since we're fickle, but most sports fans are fickle, IMO.

Of course, if they know without a doubt they can't get Damon, then expected a lot of front line news and rumors about Damon being spread around, like they did with Pedro when they knew he was gone. People sure looked to done to me last season. The organization got some pride issue. They're so bitter when a employee of their team leave, the smear them to hell. That sure make your organization look inviting. You would think people would advise that not the right way to conduct business. You end up losing a GM over personal issues with the team, because he got smear.

You think they would learn.
