catchers usually get the GG for throwing out runners. was he pretty successful at that this year?

I'm thrilled for Tek. I'm glad that people outside of RSN and its suburbs appreciate what he brings to this pitching staff (except Wake, of course ;) ).

I could not believe that OC didn't get the GG. Jeter is not nearly as good as his press clippings say he is. I'm am, however, pretty pleased that A-hole lost out to Eric Chavez. :)
