He's still the best, if it weren't for everyone's orgasmic love of Derek Jeter, this would be his 11th Gold Glove. He might have lost some of his range, but O's still very good. I'm pleased to see him win another GG, he's right up there with Ozzie and if it weren't for the power surge of his contemporaries, he'd be a Hall of Famer.

He'll ALWAYS be the best! :cheer: :jump:

Other than Wizard of Oz, Omar is one of the most brilliant shortstops to watch. Just sparkling. And Omar is so smart at the plate. He's a pure joy to watch play. I'm glad I get to see him now that he's in the National League. :D I know K, that you miss him but the NL needed to see this guy play.

O is my favorite Indian of all-time, but weirdly, I don't miss him. I feel guilty for saying it, but right now, Peralta is better than he is, both on O and D.

But watching O play everyday for 10 years was so much fun. He's very underappreciated and looks so smooth doing it. I only wish I got more San Fran games here in Columbus.

Wow, thats a big statement to say Peralta is better on D:eek:

Peralta is such a stud at the plate and his overall D is not that much worse than Omar's so I would agree that he is (will) be an overall better player...

O never had a strong arm, and his range is now limited, so even though he's surer with his glove, Jhonny covers more ground. After a shaky start, Peralta was pretty decent in the field, underrated because of his strong bat.

Since youare the Tribe Guru and have seen them both play much more than I, I will definitely take your word on it:thumbsup:

You guys need to hang on to Peralta...
