So their is a lot of rants against Marbury. We all know this very well. But who would you honestly rather have on a team?

If you need a point guard J Kidd is the choice hands down. He makes everybody around him better. Can you say that about Stephon Marbury?? ....No you can't

Both are solid point guards, but Jason Kidd is the real POINT GUARD, he stays within his bounds as a point guard, he distributes the ball, scores only when he needs to and he helps in the rebounding game. Stephon Marbury is a solid point, but he is more of a scorer and he has always been.

First of all low blow on Kidd man. And yeah Steph is already having trouble with Larry Brown 4 games into the season. Its actually gotten to the point where Isaiah is looking to trade him. And Jason Kidd is by far a better defender than Marbury, he may not be as quick as Steph but his all around defensive game is much better in my opinion.

Royce: Well Brown and Marbury went at it in the Olympics. Who knows if they like each other or not? I know Chris Sherdian, a fine writer for ESPN.com, talked about how Marbury differed with Brown's opinion about how he gives up on people quickly and others in the Knicks last home game before the West Coast trip. Time will tell and obviously winning cures all ills as they say.

I would pick Kidd over Marbury for sure though Kidd is not going to be that great as he was in his first year with the Nets. His knee will be causing him problems for years to come.

Kidd is the better all-around defender, he plays good man defense and he is the best rebounding point guard in the league.
