View Full Version : Great News
Im putting in resignation today. I dont have a job lined up yet, but I rather bag groceries than work here another month. I have a few interviews lined up though. And I do have enough money to hold me over a few months. This place have been the worse place to work for since my old bank was taken over. The straw that broke the camels back was they slashed my incentive pay because they feel there was a lack of effort in my branch. I was suppose to get a bonus but they felt that we did not participate as much as we should have even though we made quota. They can take the other half and shove it. So, anyone looking for a hard working, good looking guy??? :D

Good for you, Bob....refusing to bend over for The Man. You'll find another job soon enough.

Thanks Babs.
Hey,
Question Mr. HR, can they slash your incentive/bonus pay after they had told you that you were getting it? My whole branch got their pay slashed in half. The best part was when they told us, they said, this is not to discourage you. HAHAHA...what a load. I just spoke to my manager, and shes the sweetest lady on earth, and she tried to convince me otherwise. Her and my co workers were the only thing keeping me going. Ill miss this branch, but not this company.

Unless you have something in writing (HR policy manual, employment contract, union contract, etc) that GUARANTEES you are entitled to a bonus or incentive, they can do pretty much whatever they want. Usually bonuses and incentives are not guaranteed, so I'm guessing you're screwed. It sucks. Employees are pretty much at the mercy of employers. My mother-in-law used to be paid incentives, then they decided they didn't want to pay them anymore. There was nothing she could do about it other than quit.
Gotcha. I figured as much. Those incentive checks were suppose to be handed out about 3 weeks ago. But they delayed it. Im assuming they were in the process of trying to figure out if it was illegal or not. SCREW THEM!!! Actually, I havent been this happy in a long time. :D
