As I predicted in the Pick 'Em thread, the 49ers-Bears matchup has turned into a very entertaining train wreck.
The Bears lead 7-3 at halftime in very windy Soldier Field.
For SF,QB Cody Pickett is 0/2 passing in the game.
Niners safety Tony Parrish broke his leg early in the 1st quarter, and Chicago RB Cedric Benson was carted off the field in the 2nd quarter with a knee injury(it looked really bad).
The wind is a factor in the game with wind gusts up to 50 mph throughout the game.
Chicago's Nathan Vasher took a missed FG 108 yards for a TD with 8 seconds left in the half to give the Bears the lead at 7-3.

The Bears have 4 top teams left on their schedule. They really need to win at least 2 of them so they don't have to hear the "San Diego Padres" reference come playoff time.

an ugly ugly game, as the wind factor made things so nasty.

Just like the Vikings game and I said. A win is a win. No matter how ugly it is it still counts in the good!!!!

That tag now goes to the Patriots.
NFC North been having a bunch of ugly games lately. ;)
Well, the Bears might have to win those game now consider that the Vikings seem to be coming back to life. They're 4-5 now after beating a pretty good Giants team, though I think the Giants totally gave the game, but a win is a win like Durango. Bears got stiff teams coming up. At the least, we call this exciting. At least it doesn't look like they'll run away with it if the Vikings continue playing well.
That tag doesn't go to neither team just yet. Unless one of them finish with a 500. record to win the division.

The Giants have given away all of their losses except for the SD game where they just flat out got outplayed.
That's why they play them. You never can know what can happen.

you guys think the game was ugly to watch? You should have been there! I was sitting in the end zone where the wind blew that kick about 20 yards wide of the goal post. It was unbelieveable. At least it wasn't raining or snowing. I've been at cold/windy/rainy/snowy games at Soldier Field. Ungh!
