Will Mariucci ever fire Harrington next season for a better QB? The Lions have a great starting 3 recievers, 2 good running backs, Jones is starting to pick it back up this season, good defense, yet they're still loosing, not even able to put up more than 1 - 2 TD's vs. any team close to average, average, or above average :gripe:. If Mariucci doesn't come to his senses about Harrington before the start of next season, he needs to be fired. I'm not a big fan of the west coast anyway. If the Lions had a new even just avg. QB this season, they would be .500 at this point :bolt:, but I think they can get a top 12 QB with the talent they've got :lmao: ------------------------What is the future of Kyle Orton the Bears 4th round rookie QB :yadda:, what will be the future of Rex Grossman, will the Bears continue to be the power house of the NFC North or will Green Bay keep Favre, Minnesota sort things out, Detroit get a new QB, and then will the NFC North be a tough, close division.

(I've got a better endzone dance than you)

Didn't Mariucci want Garica to be his starting QB. I doubt he would be even starting Harrington unless he didn't have another option at QB. Why should be fired when he's out of options at QB? If I recall, Garica quite beat up and not even usable. Not Mariucci's fault if management doesn't get him a QB to work with, which he thought he had in Garica.

Nobody is proclaim that Orton is a great QB. Not ESPN, hell, not even most Bears fan. They know Orton is average. The best thing Orton does he doesn't do a thing to help the team lose a game, but he doesn't do much to win a game, excluding last Sunday performance, which was his best professional performance of his career. I really could careless which round you were draft in since that no longer matters when you're on the field. ;)

The Bears are powerhouse the Central due to defense. They won't be the team with a lot of wins or look that great winning, but as long as they keep the great defense, they should contend. When you have a good defense and run the ball a lot like the Bears, you eat the clock and keep the ball out of the other team's hands.

The Packers should be in rebuilding mood next year. Green's gip ass should be gone and Favre should retire. Enter Aaron Rodgers and who ever they draft, which look like Bush, if they get the first pick. I don't expect much from the Packers come next season. Should be in last, unless the team decide to step up, with what I assume will be a team of rookies.

The Vikings should, I assume, have Daunte back. I'm sure they'll be improve the O-Line and also working with Daunte, who didn't look like himself at all this season. The Vikings should be legit next season, if they can improve that defense even more and Daunte gets back into his 04 season self. Maybe pick up a RB or WR, but I think the main problem was Daunte this season, not Moss departing.

Detriot must get a QB. There is no point to draft or even get another WR or RB. They got an excellent core there currently. They need a QB badly. It might be the big piece they're missing of their team. Garica is over-rated trash. Owens made Garica, I hate to admit that Owens did that, but he did. Harrington is trash and I think everybody knows it. I'm not sure what big QB names might be out there, but the Lions need to get it. Or, that WR core will rot and RB will barely get chances to run, unless they get a great defense. Currently, the Lions defense is moderate. Not great, but not utter trash. They can also improve it this off-season, but not major needs to be done with the defense like the QB position.

Kyle Orton will never be a superstar QB, but he may well be the starter in Chicago for a long time. Chicago may actually have a QB controversy in the future  . It may take until next year to happen though.

The NFC North has been full of bad or mediocre teams (except Green Bay) for years. Now that GB sucks, it is wide open. Next year the Bears and Vikings should be pretty good. GB will start its rebuilding and the Lions could compete if they find a good QB. In a few years it could be the most competitive division in the NFC, just like it used to be.

If all of the things you said about the WRs being great and the running backs being good, I don't care who your QB is, you still score more then 1-2 TD's.

He is sort of right. All the pieces are in place, meaning that the Lions have lots of quality talent. They need some cementing as a team and all new fixtures at head coach and QB. That team is in desperate need for a true leader. If they can get it together they can be pretty good.

Personally, I like them the way they are :loser:

They remind me of the Dolphins last year; a decent foundation of skill players on offense, but a crap line, from watching the game right now. Speaking of the Dolphins, if they get a QB they'd have an awesome offfense.
