What a Game in Maui!

#12 Michigan State and #9 Gonzaga gave it all they had for 55 minutes of basketball this evening as the Zags outlasted the Spartans 109-106 in triple overtime in the Semi-finals of the Maui Invitational.

Gonzaga's Adam morrison set a Maui Invitational game record with 43 points leading all scorers.Derek Ravio chipped in with 26 points and JP Batista had 22 for the Zags.

For Michigan State,Maurice Ager led the Spartans with 36 points,Paul Davis had 26,Shannon Brown had 19,and Drew Neitzel had 12.

Gonzaga will go on to play the Arizona-UConn winner in the Championship game of the Maui Invitational.

What was most amazing is that neither team was missing for most of the second half and then just outdueling each other with 3's in the last two minutes of regulation. Each overtime seemed to be a continuation and finally the Zags outlasted the Spartans. Makes you just want to breathe. :D
