View Full Version : Timberwolves should go after Boozer

Charley Walters, who writes stupid stuff for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, talked about how the Wolves are interested in acquiring Carlos Boozer for Michael Olowokandi. Utah wants Boozer out of there in the worse way. Larry Miller, who owns the Jazz, has not been happy with the investment he paid to get Boozer as Boozer has gotten hurt and the fact he has not been that productive. Olowokandi's remaining contract will give Utah cap space and financial relief next season which is why I could see the Jazz making a trade to get Kandi. It would be a great move for the Wolves. I feel if Boozer comes to Minnesota, he will be better just being alongside with KG. I think Boozer would be rejuvenated playing with a guy like KG as he did with Lebron. I doubt it will happen though especially when Charley Walters reports stuff. I think the National Inquirer has more credibility than Charley does. I wish Charley would go away.
With that said, McHale needs to do whatever it takes to get his man in Boozer. Carlos can do it all. He would be what you call a #2 player on the team.

Boozer is garbage, he can't score on ben wallce, rasheed, duncan, shaq ,morning, camby, should I continue? If you can't score on them or stop them in this leauge u r garbage. He isn't the answer, first we need 2 recognize that kg is a passive player and is not a go to guy when he plays the best. Kg needs kobe or a dominate scorer who can consitantly score on anyone almost at will, because we have seen 4 years he can't carry the team when they r strugling like AI can.

Those guys make up like 1% of the league. Not everyone is an elite player. And he could still score on the few guys you listed.
Career stats of 14 PPG and 9 Rebs a game seem like pretty decent numbers to me for a foward, not to mention he's been in the league for 3 years, no?

So he can't score on:
Wallce (sic): Perhaps the best defensive player in the whole NBA. Yeah, very few people could score on this guy.
Rasheed: Always lots of blocks, another good defender.
Shaq: Try getting around him, good luck. Another elite player.
Mourning: I have no doubt that Boozer could motor around this old-timer.
Camby: Perhaps the best player in the NBA thus far in the young season, currently checking in with a double/double per game with 17 points and almost 14 boards, not to mention 3.5 blocks and almost 2 steals a game.
If you can't score against these guys, you might not be elite. I don't think anyone has claimed to the contrary. He's still a good player. Don't call guys garbage when they could ball circles around you with both hands tied behind their backs dude. :nono1:
