Batters hit only .203 against him.</td></tr></table></td></tr></table>Two days after reaching an agreement with free agent Tom Gordon, the Phillies officially signed the righty reliever to a three-year, $18 million deal on Saturday. Gordon, who was the Yankees' setup man for the past two seasons, will be the Phillies' closer.Â*

Gordon will earn $4.5 million in 2006, $7 million in '07 and $5.5 million in '08. The Phillies hold a club option for '09 worth $4.5 million or they can exercise a $1 million buyout. The four-year deal is potentially worth $21.5 million.
