An angel came to me about 2 weeks ago. It came in a form of a recruiter that called my cell phone that found my resume on Monster. Anyways, she got me an interview with Asian American bank in Chinatown. There I met with 2 executives that totally loved me. Then I met with the CEO yesterday and another executive. And once again, they fell in love with me. I was interviewing for a Branch Manager's position for the Chinatown branch. Though I wanted it real bad, I was also slightly overwhelmed. Because, that branch has over 30 employees and I would need to ask for business in Chinese. My Chinese is good, good enough for a conversation, but I didn’t feel like I knew all the terminology to be able to survive a sales environment. In English, no problem, but Chinese, problem. Anyways, my recruiter called me back and said she has great news and so so news, so I said lay it on. The great news was that they absolutely loved me, thought that I had unlimited potential. HOWEVER, they didnt want to set me up for failure, thinking that the Chinatown branch would be too overwhelming. BUT they have a branch in Allston (Allston is more mainstream) that the branch manager has just resigned. So they want me on board as the branch manager for the Allston one, its alot smaller and less employees (not so overwhelming). I’m so excited. I believe things happen for a reason and I can’t be happier. Also, now I can go visit the woman. Probably for Xmas. :banana:
