Darren Wolfsen, who is Chad Hartman's producer on KFAN, mentioned about how the Timberwolves are candidate to get Ron Artest. Well Patrick Reusse wrote an article about how he thinks the Timberwolves should do everything to get Ron Artest. I am all for getting Artest. I think the Timberwolves should go take a risk. Artest can flat-out play and he is a very good defender. He brings persona and attitude that this team needs. He could be our legitimate second scorer. I think he would flourish a lot better with Dwane Casey. I just feel that Ron will change once he gets to Minnesota and be surrounded by KG, Dwane, and Eddie Griffin. Besides Ron knows that if he screws up one more time, he may be out of the league. I just feel that he is better up being in Minneapolis than in any other cities. Of course, Indiana may not want what the Wolves want to give. Timberwolves have nothing to offer for Ron Artest. I am okay with giving up Wally and Eddie Griffin, but Indy will want more than that.

I made a promise to Mark if the Wolves get Ron Artest, I will never ever bash Kevin McHale ever again in this board or any board that I go to like MNSportsCentral.com or Rube Chat. That's how much I want Artest. I will forgive McHale for his past mistakes or future mistakes if he gets my man on the team.

Get it done, Kevin!

Any team with Artest would be good. But I have a feeling the Lakers would ruin him.

Lakers and Ron would not be a great fit. I don't think him and Kobe would co-exist. I think Kobe would shoot him by a week.

Lakers have nothing to offer for Artest either.

I think the only teams that may have something to offer is the Clippers and maybe the Rockets. Spurs have a lot to offer, but they are not breaking the nucleus. Nuggets could offer something, but most of their players are hurt.

I think he should just stay in indiana. I obviously don't like his attitude if he's gonna screw the pacers after all the asskissing they gave him after that stupid thing in detroit. He might be a cancer, and I would almost be wary of him if he was gonna join your team.

Pacers are not bringing him back after this. Jermaine O'Neal and Rick Carlisle are done with him and rightfully so. His time over there is over.

Look it's a big risk. No question about it. It might blow up on the Timberwolves, but they gotta take a risk. Let's face it. This team is not going to win a playoff round with the way this team is aseembled and attendance at Target Center is one of the worst in the NBA. There is no buzz at Target Center and fans seemed bored. Ron Artest could change all of that. You gotta bring fannies in the seats and that's what Artest does. Timberwolves need to try something.

I really think Artest will change once he comes to Minnesota. He will be in a great environment. Dwane Casey, the Timberwolves first year head coach, takes pride in helping people out as he has played a big role in helping Eddie Griffin grow up after having a troubled career at Seton Hall. Dwane also has done a great job helping Vernon Maxwell and Danny Fortson to be good people. Dwane wants to see people do well as human beings and I think he might be the magic touch for Ron Artest. It's quite clear Artest needs help and that he needs someone to take him under his wing. I feel Dwane and KG can do that. Rick Carlisle and Larry Bird are not the type of people that would do that and they don't have to since it's not in their job description. Dwane Casey would go the extra mile in helping Artest out.

It's a risk the Wolves have to take.

It's time for a change. It's time to get Ron Artest here. Somehow and someway, he better be in Timberwolves uniform by Monday's night game against the Suns. The hell with the risk and stuff. This team has to do something. I have seen enough. They are an average team that is struggling to hold on in the Northwest Division. With the way things are going, they may be going for that last playoff spot or even not make the playoffs. That will not be a great thing if either of those scenarios happen and this could mean the end of the KG era if that happens. I think getting Ron Artest would make KG a lot happy especially when you see what's going on now. Ron's baggage is the least of my worries. My worries is about starting to win and maintain that division lead. Glen Taylor's worries is start creating a buzz on his team because no one in Minnesota gives a crap about the Timberwolves and I don't want to hear that their mind is on the Vikings

Man... once a bad egg, always a bad egg. This guy is a top 10 player, but he's got the attitude of a street thug and will never fulfill his full potential on any team. That being said, I'm an Artest fan and I hope he get's his act together.

Marcus: I told TC, the gentleman that posts at the Twins board, that if I want to run as basketball team or any sports team, I want to build it around thugs and goons. Look at last night's Suns/Timberwolves game. Notice how easily Boris Diaw and Eddie House were able to get to the basket and get dunks. This is why the Wolves need Ron Artest. Artest would intimidate Diaw and House and if those two wanted to go to the hoop with reckless abandon, Artest would beat the crap out of them and those two would think twice about scoring to the hoop. You need an intimidator/goon out there. I used to watch Pat Riley's Knicks when I was in junior high school and the thing I love about Riley's Knicks was that he built his team around goons which is why the Knicks were tough to beat.

Ron Artest makes the Wolves into a NBA Title Contender.

Kevin McHale has confirmed that he has spoken to the Pacers about Ron Artest. According to what Sid Hartman (Star-Tribune columnist) said, Timberwolves offered Rashad, Michael, and Eddie for Artest. To me, that would be a great deal to give up for Artest. Wolves can keep Wally and with the way Wally is playing, I am hestiant to give him up. While I like to see Rashad succeed with the Timberwolves, I am ready to give him up in return for a proven player. Rashad is a project right now and this team is a must-win now mode. If you can give up Rashad instead of Wally, you do it. There is no gurantee Rashad will be successful and I rather not wait. If Artest can help us get to the Western Confernece Finals, it's worth giving up Rashad.

Kevin Garnett did not seem to endorsed about Artest coming to the Timberwolves. With that said, I still want Artest whether KG likes it or not. This team needs a third scorer badly and Artest is that guy. I don't see how you bypass this deal even if KG is not into bringing Artest here. If Artest comes to the Wolves, he has to earn respect from everyone especially with the nonsense he pulled with the Pacers. He can't just demand it just for coming there. I think if Artest can get it, then KG and others will approve him. It's that simple. It's not rocket science for Artest.

Here is the article on KG's feeling about Artest:

Without a doubt I would say Ron Artest is best Small Forward in the game. He reminds me a little of Scottie Pippen only meaner. That's why he should hook up with Lebron and maybe they could win 72 games! :naughty:

Oh but seriously who plays a better small forward? There aren't very many true small forwards.

I just noticed Artest is the largest small forward in the league. What the hell is he playing SF at 260LB? I didn't even realize he was that big. He's a freaking power forward.
