When Bears playoff tickets go on sale next week, the only people who are able to purchase those tickets are Illinois residents. No tickets will be sold to Indiana residents.

With good reason though. Indiana is Colts town period. That's like Bengals and Rams fans selling playoffs tickets to the state of Indiana since they are right by each other. You gotta protect other team's market. I am pretty sure Indiana is exclusively Colts town for football. It's similiar to what the Giants did to folks in South Jersey several years ago when Giants did not allow people from South Jersey to get tickets for the Giants/Eagles playoff game several years ago because Giants did not want their stadium filled with Eagles fans.

northwest indiana is considered a bears marketplace. Big cities go by the metro area for determining their base marketplace. That goes from Kenosha to the north, Should be somewhere south of Bourbeneiss (sp) and Gary, Indiana to the East. Rockford is out to the west.

What reason does it make? They're not even in the same conference. It's not like one of them could play each other in the playoffs. (except the super bowl, of course)

That really sucks. There is alot of "Greater Chicago" in Indiana, and Wisconsin even. I feel bad for you.

Look on the bright side. At least you can go to a baseball game or a regular season football game. The only thing up here is a minor league hockey team.

HUH? Dude you have no clue what you're talking about. The NW Indiana area have been and always will be Bears fans. Probably like 10-1 vs. Colts fans. Maybe if you're talking the area of Indiana around Indianapolis. But not NWI.

This policy is total BS. They say they are doing it to keep the tickets from out of state scaplers who will then drive up the prices. Well I've got news for you, the only thing this does is keep the tickets out of real fans hands, wherever they might live. The scalpers have the resources to beat this. Your average person doesn't.

I have a 50-50 chance of going to that game right now. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Central and southern Indiana is Colts territory. The greater Chicago-land encompasses alot of Northern Indiana.

You need a remedial Geography lesson. The Rams are no where near Indiana. St Louis is in Missouri (albeit on the extreme Eastern side). There is this big area between them called Illinois.
Indy is a good 4 or 5 hours from Chi-town. Indy is a small market team. Chicago is one of the largest markets in the league.

The Indiana Bears fans are getting screwed.

just heard on the news that the Bears have changed their policy on ticket sales for this year's playoffs. Indiana residents will now also be able to buy playoff tickets as well!
