Illinois vs. MSU

This was a statement game for Illinois. Even though it was in Champaign it was a big win. Even I was a little timid about how good they really were because other than a tough game at UNC, they have not had a true test yet.

They got thier test tonight and passed with flying colors. What great defense and Dee Brown was red hot!

I would of loved to of seen that game on neutral turf. The Spartans play terrible on other teams courts. Either way, Illinois has played far better than i expected this year.

And i wanted to strangle Brent Musberger at the end of the game when he said "Illinois is on their way to another Big 10 championship"! IT WAS THE FIRST GAME OF THE FREEKEN BIG 10 SEASON!!!:gripe:

Illinois still has to go to MSU to play a game. That will be another test for both teams. MSU looks to have a giant-killer schedule over the next week or so. The Big10 is a great conference this year. The best in the nation I think. Lots of great teams and maybe 8 that will dance in March. No easy games this year.

The Illini have another real test next Tuesday when they travel to Indiana.

Yup, a bad game for the Illini, especially after the big win the other night. It is going to be a really competitive year in the Big 10.
