Will people stop with the comparaisions of the Pistons to the 72-10 Bulls team and will people stop predicting Pistons will win 72 games? The Pistons are a great team, but they are not winning 72 games. First off, every team is going through slump now and then. It happens. It's impossible for a team to steamroll everyone everynight. Second, you got back-to-back games and the West Coast trips and such. That takes a toll on a team after several days on the road. Detroit has been great on back-to-back so far, but can they sustain it. Third, Bulls had one of the best players to play the sport in Michael Jordan. Pistons got great players, but they are not in Michael's level
It's only January. Can we get to the post-All Star Break before we talk 72 wins?
Talk to me in March and then everyone in the media can talk about the Pistons pursuit for 72 wins. Even if they accoomplish it, it means squat because the only thing that matters is them winning a ring.

I'll say that the Pistons will win 65 games. I don't think that's a real strecth. It's really great to watch a "team" play and succeed. This is why the NBA is great.

It will be very hard that is something that is very hard to beat one of the hardest records to break.... such as the 100 point mark is....

The Pistons continue to have the best defense in league. I don't think they will win 72 games, but they could easily win more then 65.

Dallas, Washington, Utah and Cleveland are the only teams they've lost to. I guess that means they'll miss the playoffs with your logic.
It really doesn't matter what they win in the regular season. They win when they need to. They didn't even win their divison the last 2 years and made it to the finals both times.
And i don't think i've heard anyone other than ESPN.com say anything about them winning 72 games, or compare them to anyone.

Maybe i'm wrong. The Pistons played terribly tonight. They only won by 15 points in San Antonio.
Man they suck. I doubt they'll even make the playoffs.:rip:

Pistons were so bad that they beat the Spurs by only 15 points. They should have beaten them by 35 points. Damn them.
Seriously though, I am very amazed by the Pistons. To beat the Spurs in that fashion at the SBC Center, where it's tough to win is pretty damn good. I thought the Spurs would come out on fire tonight and take care of business. I know Popovich called them out after the Nets game Tuesday night in an attempt to play mind games with his players for Thursday's game. That didn't seem to work. Barkley was really sold on the Pistons after the game tonight. He has been saying how the Pistons are overrated and all. They sure showed him, eh.
Pistons fans are so lucky to have this team win night in and night out. Man as a Timberwolves fan, I miss those days.

What the Hell are you babbling about R? You make no sence. Losing 10 games to bad teams is the same as losing 10 games to good teams. If their losing to the bad teams, that just means their beating the better teams. :bonehead

oh i make perfect sense
if u cant beat bad teams that means your not as good as you seem or you overlook competition and if they overlook teams in the playoffs they will lose!

All 4 teams are currently in the playoffs if they started today. Utah is in first place, Dallas, Washington and Cleveland are all in second place.
And if you want, i'll find a whole list of bad teams they've beaten.
If your going to post something, please know what the **** your talking about for a change. It's really getting old.

I don't know if your try to be funny, look for attention, or your just that dumb, but unless anyone has any intelligent remarks other than every team everywhere sucks, despite their good records, this thread is over.

Going by that the Cavs have the 7th best record in the league, 3rd in the East, I'd probably say that makes them a good team.
