If you were starting a new NFL. team, who would you want for your Quarterback. Tom Brady or Payton Manning ?

In all seriousness, I will take Carson Palmer over either of them.

I agree....as long as his knee recovers.
Seriously? I'll take Tom Brady. 10-0 Playoff? Even if he lost the next game, AFC Championship game or the Super Bowl. He will still have 10 or more wins when this season is over. Can't deny the fact that Brady win the games that count the most. I'll taking willing over Payton's numbers any day of the week. Until Manning prove he can win the big games, I'm taking Brady over him and other NFL QB.

I'm with Timberwolf, Carson Palmer is going to be as good or better then Peyton Manning, getting better with time.

I'm with Evangelion. And I'm not sure that it's even close. Tom has never lost a playoff game, and more than that he has won 3 superbowls (which is the point of it all, right?).
Put it this way...it's 3 championships versus a bunch of stats and nothing to show for them. Which would you rather have?
Peyton has never done anything, and no offense to Carson, but please. There is no way I would take him over either of those guys yet. Wait till he does something to deserve mention in this conversation.
Tom wins this going away.

00: Carson finally made the Bengals a playoff team. Carson changed the attitude of the Bengals around. Carson made Bengals fans believe. Carson changed the image of the Bengals. When people start talking about the Bengals as a SB contender, that's because of Carson.
I would have to go with Brady. Dudes just a winner. Until Peyton can win a few SB rings, I will always pick Brady over Manning anyday.

Carson Palmer made the Bengals a playoff team? I wonder what happen to Chad Johnson and Rudi Johnson? When people talk about the Bengals being a good team, not a SB contender until they improve their defense, they think Chad, Rudi and Carson. The Bengals have slowly built their team back up bring in Palmer, Rudi and Chad in and making themselves a playoff contender. Without Rudi or Chad, you honestly think Palmer would be as good as he is?
A good QB need a good WR. The other way around, too, a good WR need a good QB.

I don't have anything against Carson, who I think is great...I'm just saying he hasn't done much yet in terms of winning championships. He's made the playoffs once now, and went 8-8 once.
Brady has won 3 superbowls.
For the purposes of this question, I'm going with Brady, and I don't think there's much of an argument to be made until someone actually proves otherwise on the field.

Palmer has only played two seasons. I wouldn't expect for him to win a superbowl withou a defense.

Under the criteria we have here,I have to go with Brady. He knows how to win, that's all I really want out of a QB.
My 2nd pick would be Kyle Orton.

Peyton Manning-If you get him a good line, RB, and 2 WR's that are good that is.

No Carson didn't do it. Marvin Lewis did. Period.
That being said if you say Carson isn't the MVP of that team then you're wrong. Ask Chad Johnson: He says the same thing. [I would know. I'm from cincinnati and see his comments on the news all day].

Roethlisburger or Palmer.
Hands down. They're young, and already at the top of the league.

Ever heard of Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, and Reggie Wayne?
Besides, I take Heath Shuler over all other QBs.

I know he's only played two seasons; that's related to the point I was making...he hasn't shown me enough yet to make me think he'd be a better pick than Brady.
Roethlisberger is now in the conversation, though I wouldn't have said so until the last two weeks, maybe even until after this week's game, where he was almost perfect against a pretty darn good Denver defense. I still wouldn't take him over Brady yet, but I'll re-evaluate in two weeks time.

Brady is 29. Palmer, and Big Ben are 24 and 23 respectively.
No Carson didn't do it. Marvin Lewis did. Period.
Never said Carson did that.
Without Palmer do you honestly think Chad Johnson or Rudi would be as good as they are?
Nope. Players need each another. Palmer is as good as he is without Chad being deep for him? Same applies to Chad having a QB being able to throw as deep to him. They both need each another. Carson the MVP of this team? I won't rank Carson above Rudi or Chad. Same applies I won't rank Chad or Rudi over Carson.
Carson has prove he can win without Chad. Chad prove he can put up good numbers even with a QB like Jon Kitna, granted Kitna not bad, but he's not as good as Carson. Carson the MVP of this team? Ok, then let's not bother looking what Chad does for Carson and what Rudi brings to the running game?
Remove Chad from the equation and let's see how great Palmer is. I'm not selling him short, but I'm not over-estimating his value based on one year and having great offensive weapons around him.

Carson Palmer is my favorite obviously.
It's going to be fun watching Carson and Big Ben go at it in the next 10 years two times a season. I am hoping NBC will have a Steelers/Bengals game next season along with ESPN for Monday night.
You have to figure NBC will have this game next season.
